OUR ROOTS

ZerestAudio was founded in 2015 over coffee table talks. We were bothered by highly priced earphones in the market that did not deliver in sound and build quality. The high costs, high wastage and its consequences to the environment troubled us. Seeing this, we sought to introduce quality in-ear headphones into the Singapore market without breaking the bank.

FOUNDER
Melissa Lim
​
Melissa is a scientist by degree and worked previously in A*STAR. She is also an avid programmer. She started tinkering with electronics and building earphones by hand after falling in love with music and earphones at a young age.
Zerest Audio is her first venture into what she is passionate about.

Our core team is driven by our two founders and various supporting staff we recruited as we grow.
CO-FOUNDER
Sim Yang Zhi
​
Yang Zhi was a full-time student when Zerest Audio was founded. With a strong passion for entrepreneurship and business, he founded Zerest Audio with Melissa after his successful tenure as CEO at ProjectKIT, a youth-ran social enterprise that raised a quarter of a million dollars.

Today, Yang Zhi continues to run Zerest Audio with Melissa.
HEAD OF MARKETING
Jeremy Lim
Jeremy is highly experienced in the audio industry having worked under TC Acoustic, a distributor of Klipsch and Sonos products.
​
By surrounding himself with audio products, he has vast knowledge about the in workings of earphones, headphones and speakers. His experience has allowed him to contribute to the product design and marketing of Zerest Audio earphones.
